Solar Panels in 2023 - Still a good option?

Solar Panels are popular

When people talk about renewable energy, solar panels and solar energy is likely the first thing that comes to many peoples minds. This should not be surprising, as it has for a long time and still is the biggest and most effective means of creating renewable energy in the world. With the ease and flexibility of install, it's possible for most homes and businesses to harvest the natural power of the sun to create electricity or alternatively heat your water, all whilst reducing the amount of carbon dioxide you produce.

A Greener Alternative

Solar panels (PV or Thermal) offer a greener alternative to other forms of power production, such as gas central heating, or electricity from the grid which may well come from an unsustainable source. There is no pollution or emission of greenhouse gases whilst they are operating. They can then convert solar energy from the sun into electricity or heat for use around your home.

Installations in 2022/2023

Solar Panels became really popular around 5-10 years ago, as they started to become affordable to more people. However since then there have been many advancements in the technology of PV and thermal modules, meaning these days they are more efficient than ever. The technology has also become even more affordable due to cheaper manufacturing costs and better mass production methods now being more widely adopted.

So in short, solar tech in 2022 to 2023 is now more than ever accessible and affordable than ever. Meaning we believe it is not only still a viable option to save money and become more eco friendly, but it is one of the best routes to achieve this. Solar can save homes and businesses hundreds of pounds a year on electricity bills.
